Frequently Asked Questions

Everything DiSC® and The Five Behaviors®

Is DiSC a Test? Do I have to prepare for it?

DiSC is NOT a test, so you cannot pass or fail. It is also not a predictor of your intelligence, value, or future success or failure, nor is it a diagnostic instrument. The results are based on your perceptions, not someone else's. Most DiSC questionnaires  take approximately fifteen to twenty minutes of your time, and they require no advance preparation or study.

What is Everything DiSC®?

Everything DiSC is a personal development learning experience that measures an individual’s preferences and tendencies based on the DiSC® model. This simple yet powerful model describes four basic styles: D, i, S, and C, and serves as the foundation for the Everything DiSC Application Suite. Participants receive personalized insights that deepen their understanding of self and others, making workplace interactions more enjoyable and effective. The result is a more engaged and collaborative workforce that can spark meaningful culture improvement in your organization.

How Valid and Reliable is Everything DiSC®?

Great question! There's a lot involved in testing for validity and reliability, far too much to include here. So, we've developed a rich report to include all the necessary detail. It's titled Everything DiSC Research Report. The purpose of this report is to provide the validity and reliability research for the Everything DiSC® assessment and profiles. Section 1 includes background and research on the assessment, specifically on the EverythingDiSC assessment, the DiSC® scales that are derived from this information, and the circumplex representation of the model. Sections 2-5 provide research on the application-specific models used in Everything DiSC Management, Everything DiSC Sales, Everything DiSC Workplace®, and EverythingDiSC Productive Conflict. Section 6 provides the research for the 18 additional scales in Everything DiSC Work of Leaders®. Section 7 provides the research for the Everything DiSC Comparison Report. The Appendices contain more detailed information on the Everything DiSC assessment research. You can download a copy here.

Is Everything DiSC Certification Mandatory?

No. Everything DiSC certifications are available online and are optional. For more information, go here.

What is EPIC®?

EPIC stands for Electronic Profile Information Center. It's the platform from which all profiles are administered. Affinity Consulting and Training administer a Master Account, from which we supply administrators at your organization access to a sub-account. From that sub-account, you can then administer your own profiles and brand them with your organization's logo and contact information. There is a small set-up fee charged to get you going, which includes an orientation to the platform, delivered by phone or video conference. You then purchase EPIC credits through our store and we add them to your sub-account to run the profiles.

More information, including the number of credits required per profile and pricing is available here.
